The iBoss Enterprise Web Filter integrates with your existing network proxy. You can easily identify the internal proxy servers on your local network within the iBoss, and all filtering will be handled by the iBoss before traffic reaches your proxy server allowing the proxy to focus on data caching instead of filtering.

The iBoss Enterprise Web Filter also has a built-in proxy which can be use the iBoss filtering engine to provide both proxy and filtering service. This will also allow you to remotely filter computers at remote locations and point internal computers to the iBoss for proxy access.

iBoss as a Proxy Filter

The iBoss Enterprise Web Filter can be setup to be used as a network proxy server for the computers on the network. As a proxy server, the iBoss can be installed either inline or out of band. In this mode, requests made by the computers are sent to the iBoss Enterprise Web Filter with full Active Directory integration or local user policy. When configured as a proxy out of line, the iBoss Enterprise Web Filter is not in band with network traffic and can be attached to any internal network switch.
